My Wednesday

Hello everyone!

I woke up today with intentions to visit two galleries within one day, however me being totally productive, energetic and adventurous (NOT!), within 6 hours me and Chris took down -

  • The Photographers Gallery
  • SOHO sample sale
  • Shopping at Oxford Street
  • Itsu for lunch
  • Fashion and Textile Museum
  • White Cube
  • Borough Market
  • Canary Wharf shopping
It was a long day indeed but it was worth it because I fulfilled my original mission of going to the two galleries. I found the Knitwear exhibition - Chanel to Westwood - very informative since it gave me a clear insight of how war impacted on individualism. It was also intriguing reading how people in the 1940's made their own clothing due to the government taking on rationing because of the war. What a way to get creative!

The White Cube was super modern, the most modern museum I have ever visited for sure. I'm quite embarrassed to say I was more interested in the interior design than the art work that was presented since I have never seen such white walls in my life before! Hence, the reason why I probably won't visit the White Cube again...

The one thing that I have learnt today.. I need to go back to the Borough Market!! Even though I saw dead animals hanging on string it was an interesting experience compared to Shoreditch on Sundays.

  1. Aaah! I went to the White Cube on Xmas Eve not knowing they were shut, so I would really like to make another trip there again soon.
