Vivian, is that a Christmas jumper?

With my short, meaty legs I've always had trouble finding the perfect over the knee high boots. This gene runs through my family, and I call it the mighty Chun Li legs!

This is indeed my first pair of over the knee high boots, stylish yet affordable. I purchased these goodies at Zara and they have been my latest obsession. I am able to keep my legs warm when wearing skirts (BONUS) and they make me appear taller which is of course (fist pump) a bonus too.

With this outfit I am wearing -

Jumper (Zara), Skirt (Forever21), Bag (Car boot sale)

I was indecisive whether to clash patterns but I took the risk. I legitimately felt I was living the swinging 60's with my mini skirt, but the chunky oversized knitted jumper toned down the outfit.

Grey Horizon

This seasons technique?

Yes, you guessed it... LAYERING. It's probably everyone's essential technique when it comes to Autumn since the transition from Summer to Autumn is so deadly. I still haven't adapted to the changing temperatures.

I feel Autumn is the best time to experiment with textures also. I recently managed to grab myself the ideal faux fur bag for University, so I am super excited to use the bag with my outfits. I need to start  finding the perfect 'fashion statement' coat. Where shall I start?

Seeing Pyramid

Hello everyone.
So winter is gradually drawing in, and you know what this means... SOCK SEASON! Yes, it is now socially acceptable to walk outdoors in public with chunky socks.

Also, it tis' the season for coats! A few weeks ago I was in TKMAXX and luckily I found this bold, black, half leather jacket. I've been wearing it to death recently since it goes with every outfit I throw on. It somehow, makes all of my lazy outfits appear far more thought out.

Spinningfields

As you can clearly see, I haven't been active as much on my blog.. and I always find myself apologising for this reason... I suppose this is the correct time to say sorry? Again?

This is just a quick outfit post.

During the summer holidays I visited my home town, Manchester, and had dinner with my family and friends during this period. I visited a majestic restaurant called 'Neighbourhood' situated in Spinningfields, and I was so pleased with the selection of food they had on the menu!

Sharp Forest Green

There are many reasons why everyone should favour succulents.

Well, for me, the main reason why I adore these plants is because they are so effortless to take care of. And of course look how majestic they appear.

Me and my boyfriend have a huge obsession with succulents, hence why you would normally find us two pondering around Columbia Flower Market every Sunday, at exactly 3pm (since that's when the bargain starts).

We like to think our collection is a good thing since we feel we're embracing the inner asian inside us.

Let's just hope they'll last throughout the cold, bitter winter season...

Details Up Close

Hello everyone!
I have to admit, I have never been the type of person to splurge on accessories, specifically with necklaces and bracelets. However recently, I've been on this roller coaster craze of layering and stacking my jewellery. In the past I've always adapted to the minimalistic and simple appearance... You probably all know why.. 'Less is More' that kind of thing. It is true since over using accessories can make outfits look too much in your face, but it is all dependant on what you choose! I always follow the rule of...

1# Simple outfit : Big accessories
2# Big outfit : Simple accessories or even none

..and that is my little tip for you guys. Also, I am going to post more this week so please keep updated! Yes, yes.. I've been busy with University so my apologies (I feel like I'm always apologising for the lack of posts due to Uni).

Obsessed with my gladiators!

What is up everyone!
If you guys watched my most recent vlog (check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIXXYW4yjZ8) I mentioned how @songofstyle inspired me to cut my hair super short, and about a week ago she inspired me to purchase into a pair of gladiator sandals! Yes, I am girl crushing so bad right now. I recently picked up the perfect gladiator sandals from Zara, for a reasonable price of £30. I was stoked when I saw the price so I couldn't resist. I also picked up this tribal outerwear from Zara because I thought it would be perfect for the chilled summer night outs ahead of me!

Second vlog uploaded!

Hey everyone!
I just want to update you all on my second vlog. I went on a one man journey back to my home town, Wigan, to visit my friends and my family. Seeing everyone again made me realise how much I missed my fellow northerners! Despite how much I love London, I will always consider Wigan my home. I would love to know your thoughts, so comment down below and remember to subscribe!

Greenery Overload at Kew

Hello readers! On Wednesday I visited Kew gardens with my boyfriend, and apparently it was the hottest day of the year SO FAR - how coincidental! Honestly, before I arrived at Kew gardens I underestimated how huge the area was until I stepped foot into the botanical garden. I was super hyped to visit the palm house and of course the peacock that inhabits around the beautiful majestic place. For all of you who has never visited Kew gardens and would like to, you would not regret it! Just go on a sunny day (of course) and drink plenty of water. I found it quite funny how my boyfriend's dad phoned us to tell us to drink lots of water to keep hydrated... Howeverrrrrrr, since Kew Gardens was quite close to the airport, there were disturbance from the planes but I really thought they added to the atmosphere. I saw at least 30 planes during my time at the garden, and it was interesting to see which country was landing in the UK.

When I made touchdown to the Japanese Gateway, I was in awe. I was truly inspired by the environment. THAT inspired, today I made my way to Columbia Flower Market and bought a bamboo tree, just like that, carrying it home was a journey. For all of you readers who has me on Snapchat, I'm pretty much sure you can agree it looked hectic (Snapchat - vivtran). Me and my boyfriend are currently on this ongoing project to create a Zen inspired garden, which is coming together very well. I guess visiting Kew Gardens just pushed us a little further to get things done.

Also, I got chased by a lizard at the Conservatory which was hilarious.

Key places to visit - from my perspective -
  1. Japanese Gateway
  2. Palm House
  3. Xstrata TreeTop Gateway
  4. Princess of Wales Conservatory
  5. Bamboo Garden

Thank you for reading and sorry for the lack of posts. I'm having so much fun during my Easter Break!

Denim season?

Hello everyone!

You have probably seen the attack of denim over the past few weeks. I have been up and down the streets of Central London and without a doubt, every single visual merchandise is fulfilled with the target of promoting the fabric denim. Trust. Today, I came across this hippie inspired denim dress from Zara, and I had my eye on this dress for quite a while, but I managed to purchase it today through the response of persuasion.. (Damn you Zara, what's your secret? You have no adverts but still manage to be super successful).

I paired this dress with my Sandro x Reebok sneakers since the clash makes the outfit clean and basic.     I think denim is difficult to pull off, depending on what you're wearing it with. The thought of putting denim and denim together probably makes you think 'NO' automatically but.. recently I have seen several individuals diving into the deep end and making it work. I praise you individuals!

Thank you for reading. Let me know your thoughts! What do you think about denim season?
